Hi, I was put on venlor XR 37.5 mg (venlafaxine) for 1.5 years for vestibular migraine. After stopping it she was fine for 9 months and then her vestibular migraine came back so the doc told her to start venlor XR again but this time it didn’t suit her. Then the neurologist tried various antidepressants, seizure medicines, benzodiazepines & migraine medicines on her which made her only worse and now her symptoms are :- involuntary muscle movements, tremors, Nervousness, shivering, Rapid heart rate, fainting feeling & anxiety. Is this serotonin syndrome ?? If yes how can it be treated as she has become very sensitive to medicines but is really suffering a lot ?? Please guide ! Thank you

She needs to go to a hospital on an urgent basis for evaluation and if it's Serotonin syndrome she needs urgent treatment.

Consult your treating Psychiatrist for it and give her details about the current onset of symptoms whether it was before starting the medication or increasing the dose or whether it was after . Need clinical evaluation too for further diagnosis and management

Hello If the symptoms have started after starting a new medicine or increasing the dose of existing medicine.... These can be signs of serotonin syndrome..... She needs to consult the treating psychiatrist.... And may need to stop the medicine.
