Sensitivity and cavity in tooth tobacco

I am having sensitivity and tooth ache, cavity in one of my teeth. Tobacco consumer for 5+ years

Hi, If the cavity  is near or involving  the pulp,  then the tooth will require  root canal  treatment.  Better to get an xray done before   any treatment.
