Sebaceous cyst removal
My sister had her sebaceous cyst removal surgery on 6th june.. For two months I applied scarend cream as prescribed by my dermatologist
Now after 2 months it's again paining little bit.. It pains very much when someone touches by mistake
My dermatologist has suggested to put injection on it as she says that somebody's cyst gets healed and somebody's doesn't
Should we again go for injection?
Please let us know we are worried if her diagnosis is correct or not

Hello. It is in the sternum region (mid-chest). It is a common site for Keloid formation, especially in women. It is usually itchy, red and starts growing in size. Steroid injection directly into the swelling is one mode of treatment. It can be combined with a silicone gel sheet application.
It is a tendency for some people to form keloids (there may be other previous injuries that have become keloids), other members in your family may have similar lesions after small injuries.
