If you feel that the cat might have contaminated the food, kindly discard it. Rabies or not is the second thing. Animal saliva has infection causing organisms.
Now come to the Rabies, animal with active Rabies signs can't eat or drink due to their throat paralysis. If the cat didn't try to attack you or didn't have excessive salivation, then the chances of a cat having an active Rabies virus in their salivation is almost nill.
