Scabies in 4 1/2 year old
My four year old has scabies and it's not getting any better even with applying scabby lotion.
Please tell me what medicine is there to eat other than applying.
It's gets really worse at night and he's unable to sleep because of the itchyness.
Even after successful treatment of scabies, itching stay upto 2 weeks.
Please give 5 mg cetirizine to the child for 2 weeks.
Usually scabies treatment given to all the family members and the same time bedlinen and clothes were washed in hot water.

Firstly child should be treated for scabies with ivermectin 3mg DT along with Cetrizine syrup
Secondly all members of the family also should be treated
Clothes should be washed in like warm water followed by completely should be dried under sunlight
