Rib cage bigger, no pain nothing.

I am extremely thin 18year boy, my left rib cage look bigger when i tried to take breath and looking in mirror, as i  dont have scoliosis i have checked out  for it, so what is  the reason, is this is birth defect or what (and i dont have pectus evacutum also). My doctor doesnt seem to be concerned.

The deformities of rib cage may be congenital or acquired. Scoliosis may be associated; rickets s a common cause. However, its mostly cosmetic only; if there s no functional limitations to movements of chest or restrictions of lung capacity then these are usually left as such and not require any management. You can do respiratory exercises ( pranayama) to build your chest capacity. No consequence in long term
