Is it possible to retain the uterus and ovaries by having a scheduled scan Every year to check the growth of the existing fibroids(few mm ) and developements in the uterus? Any possibilities and  advantages of retaining the ovaries  and removing the uterus only?

If you have menstrual cycle problem with small  fibroids then their treatment is necessary. If incidentally detected asymptomatic small fibroids regress as your age progress beyond menopause. Monitor there growth by examination by gynecologist and ultrasonography. Consult at www.prac.to/drdigvijay Share your details . Detailed consultation done. Take care

Since you are 46 years and will get menopause soon. Fibroids generally resolves after menopause. So if they are small n not causing any problem den you can leave it. No need of surgery for them . Provided the are huge n causing lot of problem den we have to see.
