Effective communication skills, assertiveness skills are some of the things that you could work on in therapy to help you through this, I understand that being in a relationship where your partner doesn't understand your feeling/needs could be difficult and confusing.
Going in for couple's therapy and invidual therapy might help you get better clarity on the relationship and ways to not only strenghten the relationship, but also the self.
