Regular flare up. Acne spots

2026-09-03 20:08:03
I’ve been dealing with persistent acne for 2 years, especially closed comedones and small pimples on my face, along with dark spots/hyperpigmentation left after breakouts. My skin tends to break out frequently, and even when some pimples clear, new ones continue to appear. I’d like to understand what may be causing the recurring acne and get a proper treatment plan to prevent new breakouts and reduce the existing pigmentation. I also want to make sure I’m using the right skincare products and not worsening the problem.

Next Steps
Persistent closed comedones for 2 years are most consistent with comedonal acne, but the severity and cause of flare-ups need assessment. Improvement usually requires a structured 8–12 week plan, not frequent product switching. Avoid picking, harsh scrubs and steroid creams on the face.
Health Tips
Please see a dermatologist/physician to check for scarring, hormonal triggers and choose treatment safely. Use a gentle cleanser, non-comedogenic moisturiser and sunscreen meanwhile. Bring your current products and photos; you can book an appointment with me for a focused plan.
