Wait for few days more. In typhoid, the fever can last for 1 to 2 weeks. Most important,  is the child weak and very inactive? Is he passing less urine ? We have to take an overall view. Fever is not dangerous by itself

Fever may take 48-72 hours to settle completely even after starting antibiotics, depending on the cause. Please do not change or stop medicines on your own if only 1-2 days have passed. Continue medicines as advised, maintain good hydration, and give fever medicine in proper dose only when fever is present. However, if fever is persisting beyond 3 days, increasing, child is dull, breathing fast, vomiting repeatedly, not eating/drinking, or any new symptoms appear, a re-evaluation by your pediatrician is important as examination or tests may be needed. Also avoid giving antibiotics without proper review, as many fevers in children are viral and may not need antibiotic change.

Greetings Since the fever persists after the full antibiotic course, it is essential to consult your pediatrician immediately rather than waiting or changing medications on your own. Persistent fever could indicate a resistant infection, a viral illness not covered by antibiotics, or another underlying condition. A doctor may need to perform a physical exam or order blood tests and a urine culture to identify the cause. Ensure the child stays hydrated and monitor for "red flags" like extreme lethargy, difficulty breathing, or a new rash
