Can oral thermometer reading vary if we had luke warm water 5 mins before taking the reading. And what is the best way to measure temperature at home...through oral reading or by armpit method..and any difference between the actual reading between two methods?

The temperature recorded in the oral cavity is more accurate. It does not change with intake of food unless you hold it in your mouth while taking the temperature. The temperature recording in the axilla (armpit) is usually lower by almost 1 to 1.5 degrees and hence not very reliable.
