Regarding menstrual cycle

2 months ago I had fistula surgery and after that I got my monthly cycles regularly..Now I have developed infection in the wound and the doctor has prescribed for pus culture sensitivity test and the reports are yet to come ...but on feb 4 my menses had come ..but they have not..but I dont have any pregnancy symptoms either...Can infection in wound delay my period???
