My daughter s 55 days old she have reflux issues and was severely disturbed during sleep ... doctor prescribed nexpro junior sachet for 5weeks ... is it advisable to give nexpro at this age?

Reflux in this age group is not treated as this is physiological due to decreased tone of LES,this improves as the child grows

Keep the baby upright for 20-30mins after feeding

donot use nipples and bottles to feed,give breastfeeding,and if giving top feed or expressed milk ,use spoon and katori instead

Consult face to face to nearest doctor,,, look what are the factor causing repeated reflux... Most of the times, burping issue, nasal block and aerophagy may cause disturbance. So consult to nearest clinic. And nexpro junior you can give (half sachet or 1/4th sachet is suffice) only limited PPI ar advisble in below one year,,,esomeprazole is one of them. I gram sachet contain 10mg,, we can give 2.5 to 5mg.
