Reduced hba1c means reversed diabetes?

I was diagnosed with diabetes in March 2017 with hba1c 8.5. I have changed the lifestyle and diet and followed the medication properly. Now my hba1c is 6.1 in Aug 2017. What does this mean? Is it just controlled or getting reversed? Can I expect to stop mettformin if I can maintain the same level for some more months?

Hi, Firstly i must commend your efforts to control ypur diabetes. Lowered HbA1c means a good control of diabetes. It does not mean reversal. Regarding stopping of meds, its better to consult your diabetologist.
