Glycaemic index of a particular food shows how fast it triggers the
sugar value in circulating blood.Greater the number ,higher is the sugar rise. Raw red rice has the GI 55+/-5 which is relatively low as compared to white polished rice. Hence even though you are diabetic you can have it in moderation say 100 to 150 gms. at one time .
