Recurrent uti
Dr , I have been facing recurring uti , was taking Droxy 500 but when I stop again started feeling burning sensation and urge.to.urimate
Please guide.
I wouls like to know details.
Ideally cefadroxil is notthe preferred drug of choice for UTI in females of your age.
For now, follow the below mentioned algorithm-
1. Get a urine Routine
2. Samole for Urine culture/sensitivity
3. After giving samples, start tab Nitrofurantoin 100 mg twice daily for next 5-7 days.
4. By this time, we will get your reports.
5. Follow up with reports.
6. Must drink 10-12 glasses of water per day.
7. Tab a tab pantoprazole 40 mg before breakfast for next 7 days.
8. In case of excessive burning, start Syp Sodium hydrogen citrate 2 tsf thrice daily from today itself.
