You don’t have to read everything. It is very important to curate what you went to read before spending time attention and energy on it. Once you know what and why (purpose) behind reading you will read faster and are more productive. The method of recalling can help you read more and retain more.
Next Steps
See a life coach to learn hands on techniques to read better and retain better.
Health Tips
Parallel to reading prepare your notes or flashcards that will help you recall and retain the information that you read.

This is a common problem that people face. What you need to do is to set a sustainable goal for yourself so that you can read a little every day. What’s the smallest thing you can do to achieve your reading goal? Can you spend 15 minutes every day on your reading? It’s also good to create a routine and “attach” your reading to a habit that you already have built—like I’ll read right after I brush my teeth. I can share many other techniques with you if you’d like.

You can try to divide all the chapters for the remaining days you have before facing the exam or interview.. And see to it, whether you are abke to complete every day's  allotment..
