Rare sternalis muscle

I have sternalis muscle(rare muscle detected by HRCT). It is causing sever pain under my right breast for last 4 years and lately it has started causing electric sensation all the time on my upper and middle back. Thoracic surgeon advised not to go for surgery as the pain may still persist after surgery. Pain management specialist says after steroi injections, there is no guarantee that the pain will disappear. General surgery says it is not in their scope. Can anyone advise which specialy deals with such cases.

Having sternalis muscle is a rare condition and having associated pain with it is even rare. For that conservative management is done. Your pain might not be directly due to muscle. For that reason I agree with your thoracic surgeon. Much more information is needed for the cause of pain, for which you can consult.
