Radioiodine therapy
My hyperthyroidism is converted to hypothyroidism by radioiodine therapy. Now is this hypothyroidism curable? Or it will be kept under control by medicine.? Should I take the medicine lifelong?
It depends on many factors, whether you remain hypothyroid for a life time or it will become euthyroid. But many a times, its Hypothyroid life long and you need thyroxine tablets.

By RIA your are now hypothyroid patient...it is actually treatable not curable...it can be controlled by taking levothyroxine regularly...usually the medicine will be life long...but dose of medicine depends upon ur age,weight and thyroid functional status...For every 3 months u have to undergo thyroid profile and adjust the doses by consulting nearby endocrinologist doctor..
