Rabies vaccine in 48 hours

I was bitten by domestic cat (non-vaccinated, goes outside not just an indoor cat). I took my Day 0 rabies vaccine around 50 hours later. Will it still be effective? Saw that Day 0 vaccine should be within 24 hours in few forums.

It should be taken within 24 hours for best results. But no one mentioned that "if you can't take the vaccine within 24 hours then you should forget it" We don't have an ideal situation all the time but still we want to make the best out of the given circumstances.
