Quitting medicine

I have been taking aripiprazole for 6-7 months. Now, I'm facing memory and concentration issues. Like, I can't remember what I just read, find it hard to read long paragraphs, and struggle to watch videos. Should I stop taking aripiprazole? I no longer have a psychotic disorder."

You can consult your psychiatrist or get a second option and choose an antipsychotic which improves cognition rather than impairing the same. Good luck

Get yourself evaluated by a psychiatrist to find out the reason for your current difficulties. Don't try to stop aripiprazole by yourself, without having a discussion regarding need for it.

Before you stop the Aripiprazole, please consult your Psychiatrist. The dose needs to be tapered slowly. As sudden stopping could lead to withdrawal effects. Also let the doctor evaluate you for psychotic symptoms and then decide. Drink lot of fluids and keep yourself hydrated, also do some physical exercise to keep yourself active mentally.
