Anticoagulation after Mitral valve repair is required if patient is in Atrial fibrillation (more than three months after surgery) warfarin can be taken instead of the Rivoraxaban but you need to monitor PTINR regularly vaccine can be taken we need to Rivoraxaban for couple of days before taking vaccine

Anticoagulation after Mitral valve repair is required for 3 months . Then it can be stopped and antiplatelets like Ecosprin can be continued. However if the patient has other indications for anticoagulation like Atrial Fibrillation, Rivaroxaban needs to be continued. Can take vaccines while taking these tablets.
Next Steps
You need to find out the reason for prolonged anticoagulation in your mother by consulting a doctor
