Pus in wisdom tooth

I am having pus in my wisdom tooth.. is it serious.. what to do now?? Plzz help me...it pains sometime and sometime not

Hi Wisdom teeth is one that fails to erupt in its position in the given period of time.... Consequences of wisdom teeth **Pericoronitis(gum swelling and bleeding) **Jaw soreness **Trismus(Difficulty in opening the mouth) **Cyst formation **Bad breathe due to food lodgement You need to go for removal of wisdom teeth for permanent solution as this teeth is not useful for chewing and speaking purpose

its just food debris and plaque as the teeth is covered by soft tissue. You can go for pericoronal flap excision in case of pain. If food accumulation and pain persist even after flap excision, you have to remove the teeth at the last resort.

Hi If you are having pain, Swelling or pus discharge(Abscess) then you need to see your dentist as you have to start with antibiotic regime and pain killers. One xray is taken and based on the position of your wisdom tooth your treatment plan will be decided.
