Hi, I am Dr. Atul Kumar Nimawat MS ENT
You may be experiencing pulsatile tinnitus, a common and usually harmless condition where you hear your heartbeat in the ear, often more noticeable at night when it’s quiet.
Possible causes include increased blood flow near the ear, mild Eustachian tube dysfunction, or transient pressure changes. Since your heart function is now stable, it’s unlikely to be serious.
Next Steps
Monitor your blood pressure, avoid caffeine/alcohol, and try sleeping with your head slightly elevated.
Health Tips
If the sound becomes constant, one-sided, or associated with hearing loss or dizziness, visit an nearby ENT hospital for evaluation and ear check-up.
