You should not struggle in getting rid of it as that will only add momentum to it.
Take it as a patch, this too will pass.
Remember when we put a imaginary mental state (happiness, success) in front of us to be pursued , it brings a downer
Thoughts are uninterrupted , without a pause for everyone, and you cannot control them, doo not try to control them as you would be doing it only with the help off thought, which would only aggravate the problem
