Acidity problem is a common term used for gastritis. However, it would help if you are able to elaborate on your symptoms. For example, is your main problem the pain or reflux of stomach contents back into the throat or the feeling of bloating etc. Or, has it progressed into a full blown ulcer? All these information is required before you can decide on the treatment. Alkaline diet is not the choice if the problem has not been addressed.
Next Steps
Get a urea breath test for Helicobacter Pylori as it is the most common organism causing gastritis.
