Gums bleeding for 11 yrs, initially during brushing, now also overnight & randomly during the day. Bleeding takes time to stop (doesn't happen with bleeding elsewhere in the body). Chest, throat clear. Slight gum inflammation, no bone loss in OPG. Gum pockets <1mm addressed with scaling once every 6 months. At home, brushing w/ soft bristles, Clohex Plus, Stolin gum paint twice a day. Wrt prolonged bleeding: any clotting factor deficiency that can cause localised prolonged clotting in mouth?

It's good to have such a detailed history from the patient, but the deficiency of clotting factors can be evaluated only after a proper blood test is complete. PTT and PT tests will be required from a good lab to evaluate the status of blood clotting factors. Some other blood tests might also be required but these will be the first step. Another suggestion would be to avoid using gum paints because they merely act as astringents and do not eliminate the cause of gum bleeding. Regards.
