Moving heavy objects with foot strains the tendons, the insertion part of the muscles. It also stresses the ligaments of the foot. While walking, during stance phase, we put while body weight on a single foot and it's no wonder you'll have pain on stressed foot. So avoid dragging objects with foot. Also use lightweight high ankle work boots. As it's likely to develop varicose veins, it's advisable to use grade 1 compression stockings too. Of symptoms persists, consult with a Physiotherapist.
Next Steps
Try ice packs after work and lie for an hour with raised feet on pillows. Take care to place pillows lengthwise so that your knees are supported.
