Itching on penis shaft without fever is usually due to: • Fungal infection • Sweat + poor hygiene • Allergy to soap/condom • Dry skin What you can do: • Wash with plain water, avoid harsh soaps • Keep area dry • Wear loose cotton underwear • Avoid scratching If redness, white patches, rash, or discharge is present, antifungal cream may be needed after examination. If itching continues more than few days, proper check-up is advised. Based on your symptoms, this may require proper clinical assessment and prescription. You may book an online consultation with me for detailed evaluation and personalised treatment plan.

Penile shaft itching (without fever, discharge, pain, or ulcers) at 18 years is most commonly due to: • Fungal infection (mild candidal balanitis/dermatitis) • Sweat & moisture irritation • Contact allergy (new soap, condom, lubricant, detergent) • Friction (tight clothes, masturbation irritation) If there is: ✔ Redness ✔ Mild peeling ✔ White patches ✔ Itching worse in humidity → Fungal cause is likely. If only dry skin + itching → irritant dermatitis more likely. Since no fever, no discharge, no painful urination — this does NOT sound like a serious STI at first glance.
Next Steps
✔ Keep area clean and dry ✔ Wash only with plain water (avoid soap for a few days) ✔ Wear loose cotton underwear ✔ Avoid scratching You can apply:
Health Tips
✔ Change underwear daily ✔ Dry area completely after bathing ✔ Avoid scented body wash ✔ If sexually active, use protection ✔ If partner has itching/discharge, both may need treatment Most penile itching at your age is simple fungal or irritation-related and improves in 7–10 days with proper care. If it does not improve in 1–2 weeks or worsens, a proper examination is important. If you prefer, you can book an online consultation to assess symptoms more precisely and rule out STI-related causes confidently.
