Pregnancy weeks

2018-12-08 05:33:31
I had my last period on 6th Oct to 9th Oct. My periods are irregular and was expecting next period on 24th Nov. However I didn't get one. So I tested it was positive. I remember having having relation with my husband on 24-25th Oct. But the ultrasound I did yesterday shows that I am 7 weeks 4 days pregnant. How are the weeks calculated? When I count it comes to 6 weeks 4 days only.

From the day of last periods weeks are calculated. If there is irregular periods weeks calculated by measuring the babies growth.

Weeks are calculated from your date of period. But in case of irregular periods, ultrasound is more reliable
