Hi, I did TVS ultrasound today. I am 5 weeks pregnant. The report shows gestational sac with no fetal pole. Doctor has asked me to repeat the test after two week. What does this means?

It means that you should go for sonography again after one week.

It can mean two things either it’s a very early pregnancy or it’s a missed abortion if after 2 weeks you can’t see the fetal pole

It means its an early pregnancy, any pregnancy will be fully visible only after 6 weeks. Soo you continue all supportive measures and repeat scan after 2 weeks

Fetal pole is not visible in very early pregnancy at times . Repeat scan after a week.
