Greetings It is very common for a child's bowel habits to change temporarily following an episode of acute bloody diarrhea, as the digestive tract remains sensitive and hyperactive during recovery. The sudden urge to pass stool immediately after eating is frequently caused by a temporary hyperactive gastrocolic reflex. This natural reflex is the stomach's way of signaling the intestines to clear out space for incoming food.Because your child recently suffered from severe gastrointestinal inflammation, the gut nerves are likely hyper-responsive to this signal, resulting in a more immediate and frequent urge to go right after meals.Since the stool texture is normal and your child is recovering well, this pattern usually settles down on its own over a few weeks as the gut lining fully heals

The child likely has post-infectious gastrocolic hypermotility (post-infectious bowel dysfunction). After an episode of infectious diarrhea, the intestines may remain more active for a few weeks. Passing stool soon after meals is due to an exaggerated gastrocolic reflex and is common during recovery.

Hello, This is normal. Based on the history, your child had dysentery just a few days ago, and it can take some time for the intestines to recover and for the normal gut flora to be restored. There is no need to worry at this stage. Continue to ensure adequate fluids and a fibre rich diet. However, consult your paediatrician if your child develops diarrhoea, blood in the stools, fever, severe abdominal pain, persistent vomiting, or appears unusually lethargic or is not feeding well.

From your description, your child had an episode of bloody diarrhea 15 days ago, and now stools are normal in consistency, but he is passing stool soon after eating (post-meal). This is most likely due to a condition called post-infectious gastrocolic reflex, which is common after intestinal infections. After recovery, the intestine becomes temporarily more sensitive, so the child may feel the urge to pass stool immediately after meals. This is generally a normal and temporary phase and improves gradually over 2–4 weeks. Your child’s weight (13.5 kg at 4.5 years) is slightly on the lower side, so nutritional attention is important.
Next Steps
Continue normal home diet (no need to restrict food) * Give probiotics for 5–7 days * Ensure adequate hydration * Add fiber-rich foods (banana, rice, curd, apple) * Deworming if not done in last 6 months (after consulting doctor) * Monitor weight and appetite
Health Tips
* This condition usually settles on its own * Avoid junk food, oily and spicy food for few days * Seek medical attention if: * Blood appears again in stool * Stool becomes loose/watery again * Fever or abdominal pain develops * Poor weight gain or reduced appetite

Mostly it is because of gastrocolic reflex. It will settle down in few days. Nothing to worry about.
