Potassium level 4.8
Recently I am suffering from occasional right side abdominal pain for a couple of weeks and today I went to a doctor who prescribed LFT & RFT. All values came back normal but my potassium level is 4.8 mmol/L. The correct range shows 3.5 to 5 but the report has highlighted this value in bold for some reason. I would like to know if this is abnormal or bound to get abnormal?
My creatinine value is 0.8; sodium 140

Your potassium level is within normal limits.
Potassium range is generally 3.5-5.4 depending on the labs.
It can be slightly on higher side when have had potassium rich foods, fruits before testing..
Also your abdominal pain is unlikely to be related.
