Please tell me how to take care of a mother during postpartum. We mother's absolutely take care of baby but how a mother should be. In our tradition we put socks, sweaters, scarfs and do not touch cold water and all. Is that necessary. How many days should we take care.

If there is winter where you live then these precautions are necessary. Second you should take care your self at least 2 months. After that you can live normally.

Postpartum care is generally 45 days, it can extend upto 6 months bases on mother's condition... Each community and villages in India is having their own postpartum care methods. You can follow it, make sure mother drink plenty of water, have nutrients diet doesn't mean over food intake, it should be nutritious and depending on their digestive power, avoid stress..
