Possibility of twins with two follicles
Hi doctor
I am on my second cycle of ovulation induction
When doctor did a scan she told me that two follicles are with 17mm and 20mm.we had intercourse for 4 days and after the intercourse one more scan happened and she said one egg got released and another follicle is with 26mm size and not yet released..if we have intercourse again will there be a chance of having twins? Please suggest
Yes and No.
In fact we don't know what happened to the first ovum which has been released, whether it could be fertilized or not.
Secondly even if it has been fertilized , it has definitely not been implanted as yet. So your hormonal status is that of a woman who is not pregnant.
Any way, it is always good to be happy, in high spirits, and hope for the best.
Incidentally you don't need two ovum for having twins.
