Hi,my child has completed its antibiotics.We had gone for CBC Wbc all counts are normal but platelets has been increased .We were giving him augmentin dds for 14 days What could be the reason.

Regards! Can be many reasons to be delineated with proper history, in your case, May be raised as an acute phase reactant and would come down gradually. Might be a part of underlying iron deficiency anaemia as well

Might be due to iron deficiency anaemia. Will require Hemoglobin and MCV. Better had kept the report in the q&a.
