Widal positive doesn't necessarily mean patient has got typhoid. As typhoid is endemic disease in India, widal comes positive in many cases even if patient doesn't have typhoid. Level of positivity i.e. Titer is important in such cases. Titer of 'O' antigen more than 1:100 indicates typhoid. As titer is not given in accompanying report, we can't comment on the diagnosis.
