The pain and stiffness could be there after it is given OK  by your ortho.  The role of physiotherapy becomes very important at this stage as you could have tender painful joint. We can not ignore even a small issue in the foot as it can disturb the body biomechanic which could have lots of future problems

Hi It depends upon recovery...if getting pain and find stiffness then few sessions with strength training is suggested...otherwise you need to do some movements at home suggested by physio..and that should be sufficient.

Greetings,
Next Steps
Definitely just learn the basics of strength training at these areas and you can carry forward on your own.  If there is stiffness and pain just couple of sessions may be needed.

Need to follow the basic exercises suggested for strengthening. Regular sessions might be needed if pain and stiffness persists
