Even after Surgery; Pilonidal Sinus may not heal completely and they may recur in appox. 15 % of cases. In Ayurveda; there is a specific Graded Ksharsutra Treatment for this problem. It does not require any surgery and hospitalization; and the results are far better than Surgery (Z-Plasty). This Ksharsutra treatment is a parasurgical treatment where a medicated thread is placed in the sinus tract and is changed at 15-20 days interval. Hello.......A pilonidal sinus (PNS) is a small cyst or abscess that occurs in the cleft at the top of the buttocks. The exact cause of this condition is not known, If your case is diagnosed early on, you aren’t experiencing severe pain, and there’s no sign of inflammation, it’s likely that your doctor will prescribe a broad-spectrum antibiotic, otherwise surgery is required.
