I'm currently doing laser treatment for scar and pigmentation..the pigmentation has become darker following the treatment..Is it true that pigmentation gets darker before it fades off..I have read articles on the internet that say so...

Yes there is some amount of pigmentation after laser treatment. It will get better with time. You can opt for some skin care routine and sun protection to help treat the same. Just inform the doctor with whom you are taking the treatment as he/she will guide you the best according to the ongoing treatment.

Hi..we are dark skinned ... Hence after every inflammation we tend to darken. Laser causes inflammation which has resulted in darkening of skin due to melanocyte stimulation. This will need skin lightening creams and sun protection (UV Doux sunscreen) . But the question is do you really need a laser for your primary problem. It can be corrected with medications. Please contact me via Juvenis Clinic for a video consultation.
