Peeling of skin inside mouth

Hello, I'm suffering from skin peeling and roughness inside my mouth (lips and cheeks). Recently I was diagnosed with Lichen Planus (a white patch on one side of my cheek). I'm a diabetic and used to chew tobacco but quit about 6 months back. Now I'm a bit worried about the condition. Kindly advice...

Were you not advised appropriate treatment after the diagnosis of lichen planus was established???? I hope the diagnosis was made after biopsy was done. Please continue the prescribed medications for lichen planus and make sure to go for follow-up visits to your dentist. Speciality wise, an oral pathologist is the most appropriate person for such conditions. 6 months is a short duration to evaluate the benefits of quitting tobacco, and you need to make sure that you don't get back to the Habit ever again. Regards
