Developmental trigger thumb is quite common in our practice . A node will be noticeable near the finger base. It can resolve by it self by age 2 by gentle stretching exercises.but you should not do forcible exercises to straighten the thumb .surgery is offered after age 2 If the finger is locked or repeated locking is occuring.

Hi... Paediatric trigger finger is a relatively rare condition. If the condition is not severe, you may wait for a few months. If the triggering does not resolve, you may get a surgery/steroid injection.
