PCV and RV vaccines are important now a days...even Rota virus vaccine is introduced in national immunisation schedule in some states (not in Karnataka)...Rota virus vaccine prevent diarrhea beyond doubt...if financial part is really not concern.. better to take..why do you want to take chance when something is there to prevent future problem?

Both are optional category vaccines. pcv is pneumococcal vaccine and protects against a bad type of chest infection that affects children 6 months to 5 years of age.it should be given to children 3 doses by 6 months of age and a booster by 18 months.its an effective vaccine,very useful but costly so we advice parents to at least give 2 doses,if giving all doses is out of budget. Again RV is rotavirus - against diarrhoea. In under 1 year of age 30% loose motion and vomiting is due to rotavirus . Give 3 dose before 6 months of age Not to be given beyond 8 months of age. A very effective vaccine.issue is the cost .You should choose these vaccines .

PCV is pneumococcal vaccine i.e vaccine for pneumonia. You can either gv 3doses 1mnth apart if starting now followed by booster at 1.5year or else if starting aftr 6mnths, 2doses 1mnth apart followed by booster at 1.5yr age. Else one single dose aftr 2yrs. It is very helpful in preventing progression of normal cough-cold to pneumonia and also complications of pneumonia. Dis is painless vaccine. Bit on higher side when.comes to costing. RV vaccine is rotavirus whch helps in preventing diarrhea caused in babies from 3mnths of age whch is.mostly due to rotavirus. Again dis is optional one, strtin frm 6weeks age n not to be strtd beyond 8weeks age. Bt the necessity is.more compared to.pneumonia vaccine. Dis is oral vaacine like polio. Strtd in govt institutes as part of national schedule.

Hello there.  I can understand your concern.  Yes. In my opinion. These vaccines should be given. There is no harm in giving it. Its beneficial only for your baby.
