Patella fracture and xray is attached just wanted to know whether immobilization would heal the injury or there is need of surgery. No swelling no pain person can walk bent knee without pain can do straight leg up while sleeping.

Actively if u r able to lift your leg without bending knee then it can be managed without surgery if not you will need surgery. Better descision can be taken after clinically examining you.

upper pole, lower pole and transverse patella fracture needs fixation by surgical method. Kindly consult any orthopaedics for the operative management.
Next Steps
Till then use patella brace.
