Physiological causes can be anxiety fever anemia. Other causes of palpitation could be electrophysiological which come on and off and have very fast heart rates which can be confirmed only with a ECG Or holter study during the episode of palpitation. If you have significant symptoms and the episodes are very frequent you must consult Cardiologist or an AP physician.
