You’ve had similar symptoms in 2022, with normal heart and stomach tests and a diagnosis of anxiety. Anxiety can absolutely cause: • Increased heart rate, especially in the morning (due to cortisol rise) • Gas, bloating, indigestion, or IBS-like symptoms • Muscle tension → back pain • Fatigue after even light activity • Heightened sensitivity near periods due to hormonal shifts Periods & Hormonal Role Before your periods, estrogen and progesterone drop, which can: • Worsen anxiety or palpitations • Make digestion slower → bloating, gas • Cause fatigue, low energy • Exacerbate body aches or back pain Advise: 1. Track your symptoms across your cycle to spot patterns. 2. Limit caffeine/sugar, especially on an empty stomach. 3. Take light morning walks or yoga to ease cortisol spikes. 4. Probiotics + low-FODMAP diet might help your gut. 5. If fatigue is major: check Vitamin D, B12, iron levels. 6. For heart rate anxiety: deep breathing + relaxation apps help reset the autonomic response. Tests: 1. CBC 2. Thyroid Profile 3. Vitamin B12 and D3
