Palpitations and shortness of breath

I am having palpitations and shortness of breath so I think i have heart problem like arrythmia or atrial fibrillation but I took ECG which came normal.. so I am asking can it detect those problems ... and what do I do next do I go to cardiologist ?

If you have significant symptoms , you shluld get a 2 d echo done followed by 24 hour holter.
