As per my knowledge, In Ayurveda, this condition resembles a combination of:
Basti-shool / Basti-katibhramsha roga (chronic bladder pain)
Mutrakrichra (painful urination)
Vata-Pitta dushti localized in Basti (urinary bladder)
Long-term pain radiating to the leg indicates aggravated Apana Vata obstructed by Pitta and Rakta dushti in the bladder wall.
Management
1. Shamana Chikitsa (Internal Medicines)
To be taken under the guidance of an Ayurvedic Expert physician only.
2. Panchakarma & Local Treatments
Basti therapy (Medicated Enema) – Especially Yapana Basti or Ksheera Basti with Bala, Dashmoola, Gokshura. Helps directly pacify Apana Vata.
Uttar Basti (with Ksheerabala taila or Gokshura ghrita) – administered under specialist guidance, has shown very good results in bladder pain syndromes.
Sitz bath with Dashmoola decoction or Triphala decoction – reduces pelvic congestion and relieves pain.
Pathya-Apathya (Lifestyle & Diet)
Avoid: Coffee, tea, alcohol, spicy/oily food, packaged acidic foods – they worsen Pitta in the bladder.
Include: Barley water, coconut water, pumpkin, cucumber, ash gourd, ghee, cow’s milk, shatavari.
Hydrate well with lukewarm water.
Practice gentle yoga like Baddha Konasana, Supta Baddha Konasana, Vajrasana, and Anulom Vilom for pelvic relaxation.
Next Steps
Ayurveda can provide significant long-term relief if managed systematically with Shamana + Basti Chikitsa + Pathya.
All the best!!
Health Tips
Permanent relief depends on chronicity and degree of bladder wall damage, but pain reduction, improved urination, and quality of life are realistic expectations.
