Pain in upper right abdomen-lower back

I have chronic reoccurring pain in upper right abdomen radiating to lower back since a year now. Pain stays for 2-3 days and suddenly disappears completely. Then again after 30-40 days pain returns. I feel gas trapped in my intestine. Releasing gas relieves pain little bit. Pain does not let me concentrate.
