It feels like there is a boil in my throat... Swallowing is very painful... I can also feel a lump on my neck when I touch the side of my throat which hurts..

As per your description you might have enlarged cervical lymph nodes..due to infection in the throat.. consult with an ENT specialist for proper assessment and treatment.
